  • Dog & Bull, Croydon, Surrey
The Dog & Bull is a good old 'spit and sawdust' drinkers' pub with bare floorboards, smokey panelling and cream painted walls, resounding to the cries of the Surrey Street marketers during the day. The main bar area is served by a central island counter. There are two further rooms, one being the dining area, which is non-smoking whilst food is served.

  • The Green Dragon
Formerly The Hogshead, this top Croydon pub is now reborn as the hottest new venue for live music. Have Sky Sports, live music, a great pub quiz, pool, darts and a monthly Cabaret night. There's art for sale on display and a 'Bookswap' scheme in place.

  • The Greyhound, Carshalton
A pub has stood on this site from the early eighteenth century, although the larger part of the building dates from about the 1840's. There are two bars, one in the old and one in the 'newer' building. The public bar is comfortable and well furnished, and has a darts room. The lounge, in the older part, is dark wood panelled and quaintly old-fashioned.

  • Real Ale Campaign in Croydon
Croydon & Sutton CAMRA exists to promote real ale and let others know of its whereabouts and support the public house as a focus of community life. Not a site for the Stella and Kronenburg fans, but it is the pub-goers champion, promoting fine beers in great pubs and defending the rights of the drinker.
